These Terms and Conditions govern all bookings made with Tribal Culture Safari for Tribal Culture Safari experiences. By booking a safari with us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted the following terms in full.
To confirm a reservation, a deposit of 30% of the total safari cost must be paid. The remaining balance is due no later than 30 days before the start of the trip. For last-minute bookings made within 30 days of the safari’s start, full payment is required at the time of booking.
All prices are quoted in United States Dollars (USD) unless otherwise specified and are subject to change in case of significant currency fluctuations, tax changes, or park fee adjustments. Quoted prices typically include accommodation, meals as per itinerary, guided cultural experiences, entry fees to cultural or conservation areas, transportation during the safari, and applicable government taxes. Items not included are international and domestic flights (unless specified), visa fees, travel insurance, personal expenses, tips or gratuities, and optional activities not mentioned in the itinerary.
If a client wishes to cancel a booking, the following refund policy applies: cancellations made more than 60 days before departure are eligible for a full refund minus a 5% processing fee; cancellations between 30 to 59 days before departure receive a 50% refund of the total safari cost; cancellations made less than 30 days before departure are non-refundable. In the rare case that Tribal Culture Safari must cancel a safari due to reasons beyond our control—such as natural disasters, political unrest, or safety concerns—a full refund or the option to reschedule the trip will be offered.
Clients are expected to participate in tribal visits with respect and cultural sensitivity. Many of the tribes we visit, such as the Hadzabe, Datoga, or Maasai, maintain deeply rooted traditions and lifestyles. Guests should always seek permission before taking photographs and should follow the guidance of their cultural guides regarding participation in rituals, dress codes, and appropriate behavior. Participation in traditional practices is entirely voluntary and should be approached with an open and respectful mindset.
Travelers are strongly encouraged to obtain comprehensive travel insurance that includes coverage for trip cancellation, medical expenses, emergency evacuation, and personal liability. While we take every precaution to ensure your safety and well-being, Tribal Culture Safari cannot be held responsible for personal injuries, illness, loss of personal belongings, delays, or changes resulting from acts of God, accidents, wildlife encounters, or actions by third parties.
Some tribal regions are remote and may lack immediate access to modern medical facilities. Guests should be in good physical condition and must inform us in advance of any medical issues, allergies, or dietary requirements. It is also the responsibility of the traveler to ensure that they have received the necessary vaccinations and are aware of any health advisories prior to travel.
While we strive to operate all safaris as planned, circumstances such as weather, tribal ceremonies, road conditions, or other unforeseen events may necessitate changes to the itinerary. In such cases, Tribal Culture Safari reserves the right to modify or adjust the schedule in the interest of safety, logistics, or cultural integrity. These changes will not be considered a breach of contract, and no refunds will be issued for any unused portions of the itinerary.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any legal disputes or claims arising from participation in the safari shall be resolved in Tanzanian courts of law. By booking with us, you consent to this jurisdiction.
Unless specifically requested otherwise in writing, Tribal Culture Safari reserves the right to use any photos, video footage, or testimonials collected during your safari for marketing and promotional purposes.
